Zion is affectionate, playful, and a volunteer favorite. However, Zion’s kennel stress (spinning, jumping, barking) has caused him to be overlooked by potential adopters. When Zion first arrived at the shelter he was very nervous and afraid of both busy streets and cars. But with lots of encouragement from shelter volunteers (and high value treats) Zion now loves going on hiking trips and group outings. Zion seems to be the most confident when he can follow the lead of another dog, and enjoys making new canine friends. Zion is also very treat motivated, and enjoys cuddling up with volunteers on the couch.
Rehoming Needs: Zion will need to continue confidence building and would benefit from consistent exercise.
