Chex is a lovable and playful senior boy. Shelter volunteers are unsure if it’s due to his age or breed, but somehow Chex gets overlooked by potential adopters. Chex is so full of life! He is always excited to go on walks and loves short runs around the play yard. He also knows when to settle down and enjoys relaxing with his people. Chex has been to several adoption events and thrives in the environment. He has consistently done well being surrounded by new people, children, and other dogs.
Rehoming Needs: Sometimes when Chex really loves a toy/treat he will try to guard it. However, shelter volunteers and staff have been diligently working with Chex on this and he now responds well to a “drop it” or “leave it” command, or will willingly trade his item. Chex’s shelter family is very proud of how he’s handled the new training.
