Chris, a longtime resident of the Placer Animal Shelter, tends to be overlooked due to his excitable nature while in his kennel. However, once he’s out, he calms down considerably. He loves to romp around the yard and play chase, and will occasionally pick up a tennis ball. He really enjoys the company of humans, receiving lots of pets and affection, and settles down in a calm environment. He has a sweet temperament and thoroughly enjoys his Friday slatmill sessions.
Rehoming needs: Experienced, active handler would be recommended as he has lots of energy to burn. Christopher can be a bit boisterous if there’s a lot of excitement around him. He could do well with other dogs, but his reactivity and pushy play style can be a bit off-putting to some. He needs help to de-escalate some of his reactions.
